Donation to Animal Foodbank of Lehigh Valley

We’ve been working hard to support our community during this Covid-19 Crisis, and our furry friends are no exception. When life gets hard, feeding every mouth becomes stressful, especially our pets. Rather than take pets to the shelter during stress, the Animal Foodbank of the Lehigh Valley provides pet food to anyone who needs so they can keep their loved pets healthy and happy.

Their mission?

“Our mission is to keep companion animals in loving homes and prevent their surrender to the shelter system by supplying families with pet food in times of economic distress.”

We were happy to donate to this cause and support our families and pets in Allentown! Our donation will feed more pets, and we would love to hear if you went and supported this organization as well!

We can’t wait to share more of our relief efforts with you!

Bucks County Author Fair

Last week, we were lucky enough to attend the Bucks County Local Author Fair at the Quakertown Library in PA. This was such a fun event, and we was able to meet so many local kids, other authors, and share and sell the books to raise money for LKHZ’s causes.

The kids were super excited by the books, crayons, and bookmarks, and we was also able to teach them the importance of giving back to others in your community. These books made great holiday gifts, and all of the copies will be going to great homes

It was so wonderful to be involved in such a great community event. Thank you Bucks County Libraries for having us and putting on this great time!IMG_2495 2.jpg

Yesterday, Little Known Help Zone donated to three classrooms at Ludlow Elementary school in Philadelphia!

We donated to a 2nd grade classroom, 5th grade classroom, and 7th grade classroom, giving 80 students the gift of school supplies for the end of the semester!

This included cleaning supplies, notebooks, paper, paints, puzzles, and more essential needs for the classroom!

Thank you to Ludlow for hosting me, and we were so happy to donate to your school!

KTI Summit

On Tuesday, Little Known Help Zone had the honor to speak at the Keystone Technology Innovators Summit at Shippensburg University. I was the keynote speaker and had the opportunity to share how to ignite passion in the classroom, the same topic which started Little Known Help Zone.

I shared my journey in the classroom and abroad, talking about both my learning and volunteering/projects. The audience included 120 “best of the best” teachers and Assistant Department of Education Secretary Matt Stem, all of which expressed such enthusiasm and support. The presentation also included a Q&A section. This resentation was the first to receive a standing ovation, a truly humbling experience.

An added bonus, $801 was raised towards Little Known Help Zone causes. This is the most money ever raised, and this was an unexpected surprise. The generosity and kindness of everyone was truly beautiful and heartwarming. Etsy orders also emerged, as well as many new twitter followers. All of this support helped Little Known Help Zone grow, and it was a wonderful experience seeing so many people care about causes abroad.
