Monthly Classroom Project

Pencil Donation from Created Kind Shop

Little Known Help Zone received the most exciting donation from Created Kind Shop, hundred of gorgeous pencils!

These pencils said “I Am Strong,” which is such a kind message to give to students. We were graciously donated 35 5 packs of these pencils, and the packs are perfect to donate during our monthly classroom project.

This was such an exciting contribution to our project, and we’re so excited to share the kiddos with their pencils.

Monthly Classroom Project

Ludlow Elementary Classroom Visit

Right before Spring Break, Little Known Help Zone will be donating to Ludlow Elementary school as part of our monthly classroom project. This has been in motion since March, for our March school, and is finally coming to fruition this April.

Ludlow is located in Old Kensington, Philadelphia, and is a Philadelphia School District Public School. Ludlower serves approximately 400 students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade.  Seventy two percent of Ludlow students are African American, twenty one percent are Latino, two percent is Asian, one percent Caucasian, and four percent are multicultural. Twenty seven percent of our students receive special education services.

This was a great school for LKHZ, and we are donating to not 1, but three classrooms! This includes a 5th grade, 3rd grade, and 2nd grade class! Some items include pencils, notebooks, craft supplies, and cleaning supplies. These are essential for the school’s success, and many people often forget that even near the end of the year, classroom supplies is needed.

Stay tuned for photos and information about the visit next week!

Monthly Classroom Project, My Community

Classroom of the Month

This month, we will be donating to Ms. Huff’s 2nd grade classroom at Washington Elementary. There are 22 students, 15 girls and 7 boys. We will be giving her classroom some communal supplies as well as each child a personal kit with donations from Myndology and Pilot.

We will be visiting on Wednesday, October 18th to read books to the classrooms and drop off the supplies!
