Little Known Help Zone: Giving Children What They Need is Little Known Help Zone’s monthly classroom project that combines advocacy, action, and legacy to make sustainable change in America’s education system.
Here are our updates from November:
-We are still looking for our November classroom to sponsor, we have lots of supplies to give!
-On December 6th, shop LKHZ at the Bryn Mawr Staff Association Craft Fair! This is in the Great Hall from 10-2.
-Our Pink Zebra Fundraiser is still going on, shop here! We get 40% of the money raised! https://www.pinkzebrahome.com/hjfoster/Order.asp?partyid=237878
-LKHZ is developing a coloring book to be sold to support our classroom project. This book is also a story that encourages children to engage in service projects and move our world forward! We are looking for investors for this project.
On Wednesday, February 24th, Founder Makenna Lenover will be speaking at PETE&C, the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference located at Hershey Lodge. The speech will be highlighting approaches to education to inspire students to give back on their own, implementing technology platforms for personal growth, and how this learning approach can create tangible results. All of this will be exemplified by sharing the growth and endeavors of Little Known Help Zone.
This speech will raise awareness about LKHZ and its causes to a largescale group of people, and will result in a donation that will be incredibly helpful to the causes.
If you’re in the area, come out and see LKHZ at the Bryn Mawr College staff association craft fair from 10-2 on December 3rd in Thomas Great Hall. As always, all money made will be donated to LKHZ causes, specifically sponsored students needs and a scholarship fund for next year.
This is a really exciting opportunity to raise money for causes and get the word out about the organization and mission amongst staff and alumnae from Bryn Mawr College. This networking will hopefully make fruitful connections for future partnerships.
For sale will be Key Of Knowledge necklaces, tab bracelets, shell rings, crayons, and other jewelry.
Hope to see you there!
