If you’re in the area, come out and see LKHZ at the Bryn Mawr College staff association craft fair from 10-2 on December 3rd in Thomas Great Hall. As always, all money made will be donated to LKHZ causes, specifically sponsored students needs and a scholarship fund for next year.
This is a really exciting opportunity to raise money for causes and get the word out about the organization and mission amongst staff and alumnae from Bryn Mawr College. This networking will hopefully make fruitful connections for future partnerships.
For sale will be Key Of Knowledge necklaces, tab bracelets, shell rings, crayons, and other jewelry.
Hope to see you there!
Saturday morning was a wonderful time for Little Known Help Zone at WSE’s color-a-thon after party.
This event was bustling and busy, with tattoos and manicures that were quite a hit. Also, some more crayons and bracelets were sold! The success raised $55 more for the causes, and right now we are at 201/860 with the goal! Getting there.
Check our some pictures from the event below.
For Little Known Help Zone’s next fundraiser, there will be a stand at Western Salisbury’s PTA Color Run After Party.
At the stand, crayons, bracelets, and paperclip bookmarks will be sold. Information will be shared about Little Known Help Zone and its goals, and there will also be some fun activities! There will be nail painting and tattoos for sale.
Prices for the goods & services are as follows…
Nail Painting- $2.00
Hope to see everyone there!
Now that the frigid weather is finally behind us, let’s wrap up the Hogar de Amor Christmas project.
The children received their presents and were so delighted! I received many pictures from the orphanage and I will post a few below as well as link the dropbox with all the photos.
Little Known Help Zone would like to again thank everyone who made this possible, you truly impacted the lives of children in Honduras and for that we are grateful.
Little Known Help Zone has started a new project! We are collecting Christmas presents for the Hogar De Amor orphanage run by http://helpinghonduraskids.org . The children of La Ceiba do not have access to everyday things you or I may be able to get, so I thought it would be nice to sen down Christmas gifts to the orphanage.
Recently, the kind owners of Alex and Isabelle Hair ties sent a donation of hair tie packages for the girls at the orphanage. Little Known Help Zone is quite happy and very grateful for their kindness. The hair ties are beautiful and will be delightful to include in the Christmas presents. I have always used these hair ties due to their eye pleasing nature, great quality, and kindness towards hair.
Alex and Isabelle are a very small operation hair tie company who are devoted to giving back to the community. It is a family affair ran by two moms and their young daughters. Half of the money made goes to the the girl’s horseback riding and the other half goes towards pediatric cancer. Alex and Isabelle have a wonderful mission and I highly suggest you check them out! http://www.alexandisabellehairties.com
Little Known Help Zone is having luck collecting donations but will still need much more. There are 22 orphans, 11 girls and 11 boys. If you would like to contribute, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Apparel is still in the works, along with a large scale fundraiser being planned in spring! Check out our etsy and stay tuned!
