Shoot for the Stars Bracelet

At Little Known Help Zone, we believe in shooting for the stars. That’s why each supplies kit we donate includes personalized items for the children to be empowered in their education and reach success. The new Shoot for the Stars bracelet il_794xN.1806968478_pby4.jpgon the Etsy shop reminds everyone to do just that; embrace their potential for success. In addition to that, it raises money for our monthly classroom project!

This handmade piece is a mixed metal chain bracelet with silver star beads and a lobster clasp. The dangle is delicate and light, and the stars shine.

So head to the etsy shop and do some shopping.

Classroom of the Month

This month, we will be donating to Ms. Huff’s 2nd grade classroom at Washington Elementary. There are 22 students, 15 girls and 7 boys. We will be giving her classroom some communal supplies as well as each child a personal kit with donations from Myndology and Pilot.

We will be visiting on Wednesday, October 18th to read books to the classrooms and drop off the supplies!

Donations to Ms. Emert’s Classroom

Yesterday, Little Known Help Zone was able to drop off $150 worth of school supplies to Ms. Emert’s Classroom. This was incredibly exciting and her classroom was set up in such a friendly and open way. I placed each kit on each desk for the students to see on their first day of school.

In October, I will be returning to read books and do crafts with her 8 students of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. She teaches both verbal and nonverbal students on the autism spectrum in the Allentown School District. Additional good news is that all three of her Donor’s Choose campaigns were funded! This was a true success for LKHZ’s first classroom donation.

August Classroom: Ms. Emert

Each month, Little Known Help Zone will be partnering with a local classroom in need to donate supplies for students and teachers so they can fulfill their potential and have the best learning experience possible.

Our classroom for August is Ms. Emert of Washington Elementary in Allentown, PA. Ms. Emert is the kindhearted teacher of 8 students from low income backgrounds on the autism spectrum. She is committed to their learning and provides them with everything they need including school supplies craft kits, sensory items, books, and fun paper and classroom supplies to make handouts more interactive.

Little Known Help Zone will be purchasing the school supplies kits for each of the 8 students, as well as some other supplies for her classroom.

One way you can help even more is to donate to one of her Donor’s Choose Platforms so she can order additional supplies that is much needed for a wonderful and successful school year!

Bryn Mawr Alumnae Association Craft Fair Success

On December 3rd, Little Known Help Zone had a stand at the Bryn Mawr College Alumnae Association Holiday Craft festival. The fair was 4 hours long, and Little Known Help Zone had a huge success.

Items at the stand included crayons, key necklaces, tab bracelets, Salvadoran shell rings, and other items seen at past fairs. The total made was over $200, triple the goal!

This money is going to go towards purchasing a bed for sponsored student Julio, right now he shares a bed with his 3 other siblings.
