Little Known Help Zone is excited to promote our 2020 Brighter Future Grant Program!

You may have remembered us announcing this program later last year, and we really want to promote civic engagement in our communities.

To encourage applicants, we are going on our Brighter Future tour and handing out bookmarks with instructions to apply. Kids submit essays on their plan for the grant, and then we award amounts for them to make a difference in their community.

2020 Goals

Now that we’re into the next decade, it’s time to establish some organization goals.

For 2020, we aim to:

Award our first Brighter Future Grant
See our book on the shelves of local stores
Raise a minimum of $2000 through community fundraisers
Go on 12 book tour visits, reading our book to children and spreading the message of civic engagement

2019 Accomplishments

2019 was a year full of transitions and changes for Little Known Help Zone, and we wanted to reflect on all of the accomplishments from the year as we prepare for our biggest year yet!

In addition to growing our social following, gaining more connections, and heavily promoting our book and civic engagement, we’ve accomplished…

Donations to 4 classrooms in Philadelphia and Allentown, totaling over $2000
Raised $2000 for the cause
Shared our book with 4 different locations and events, including the Bucks County Author Fair
Established a collaboration with Created Kind, receiving pencil donations to give to students
Donated to a 5 causes for Giving Tuesday
Spread some love to local animals with pet food donations.

These Color Creates a Brighter Future bookmarks are promotional materials for the book tour/civic engagement workshops. On the front, part of the book’s cover, on the back, more information on how to apply for a mini grant!

LKHZ’s mini grant program is dedicated to providing resources to kids to start their own service projects in their communities. By reading in libraries and schools, we’re sharing our message and encouraging kids to spread theirs!
