Donation from Essence Cosmetics

Being an openly admitted girly-girl, I know the true joys a bit of new makeup can bring. I turned to Essence Cosmetics, asking for a small donation, and was delighted by the response. Essence offered to send 11 kits of makeup for the girls, a very generous donation.

The kits came, and they are fantastic! They are filled with wonderful products and are a perfect addition to the Christmas presents. I am very great for Essence’s donations, and you should check out their website at www.essence.eu.

The Christmas present project has taken wonderful strides, new donors are trickling in and I believe there will be a wonderful selection of presents for the children. Soon, I will enter the wrapping phase and then ship the presents to Honduras!

Donation from Alex and Isabelle Hair Ties

photo 1Little Known Help Zone has started a new project! We are collecting Christmas presents for the Hogar De Amor orphanage run by http://helpinghonduraskids.org . The children of La Ceiba do not have access to everyday things you or I may be able to get, so I thought it would be nice to sen down Christmas gifts to the orphanage.

Recently, the kind owners of Alex and Isabelle Hair ties sent a donation of hair tie packages for the girls at the orphanage. Little Known Help Zone is quite happy and very grateful for their kindness. The hair ties are beautiful and will be delightful to include in the Christmas presents. I have always used these hair ties due to their eye pleasing nature, great quality, and kindness towards hair.

Alex and Isabelle are a very small operation hair tie company who are devoted to giving back to the community. It is a family affair ran by two moms and their young daughters. Half of the money made goes to the the girl’s horseback riding and the other half goes towards pediatric cancer. Alex and Isabelle have a wonderful mission and I highly suggest you check them out! http://www.alexandisabellehairties.com

Little Known Help Zone is having luck collecting donations but will still need much more. There are 22 orphans, 11 girls and 11 boys. If you would like to contribute, please email me at littleknownhelpzone@gmail.com

Apparel is still in the works, along with a large scale fundraiser being planned in spring! Check out our etsy and stay tuned!

Meyenberg Goat’s Milk

Tower of Donated Cans
Tower of Donated Cans

Hello! Right now, I am in the final preparation mode for my trip to Costa Rica. To my pleasant surprise, I received a phone call a few days ago about an incoming package. On Thursday, the ackage came and it was a donation from Meyenberg! I was so excited and shocked, as Meyenberg Goat’s Milk was the first and most important item on my list.

I received 6 cans of milk, which will provide great relief for the refuge. These cans will go far in helping the animals. Also, I received a cute little note and some reading material, also recipes to try with goat’s milk.

These six cans will be accompanying me on my trip and will be donated to the Jaguar Rescue Center. The milk is used to prepare the orphans bottles of milk since they no longer can receive milk from their mothers. It is very expensive and difficult to purchase directly in Costa Rica, so the refuge relies on the donations. I am overwhelmed by Meyenberg’s kindness and generosity. They are a wonderful company to work with and I thoroughly suggest checking out their website! http://meyenberg.com/
