Monthly Classroom Project, My Community

Monthly Classroom Visit: Camelot KAPS

On April 3rd, LKHZ will be visiting Camelot KAPS in Germantown, PA, right outside of Philadelphia. This is a charter school that provides emotional support for students and does wonderful work within the Philadelphia community.

There are 100 students, so LKHZ will be bringing 100 items to signify each student and their potential and success. This school is very hands on with art, meaning a lot of the supplies being delivered will be art focused including paints and even outdoor supplies.

Thank you to all the generous donors including the Emmaus Kiwanis and Valley Forge Rotary club!

Fundraising, My Community

Promotional and Fundraising Week

This week, Little Known Help Zone had the opportunity to visit 3 different groups to share our mission and raise funds and collect supplies for the classroom project. In a month time frame, we have 115 items, valued over $300, for our classroom efforts!

First, we were welcomed into the Allegro Dance Studio in Emmaus, PA for dancing, snacks, and a talk about service with the girls.

Then, founder Makenna Lenover met with the Dieruff High School Key Club in Allentown, PA to plan a collaborative fundraiser.

Later that day, a visit was made to the Emmaus Kiwanis Club to talk about the classroom project and organization and we collected an abundance of donations from their generous members.

Enjoy these photos!

In addition to discussing our classroom project, we planned to deliver Rotary Dictionaries to all of the 3rd grade classrooms visited! This exciting partnership perpetuates both the Rotary and LKHZ’s mission.
