Donations to Ms. Emert’s Classroom

Yesterday, Little Known Help Zone was able to drop off $150 worth of school supplies to Ms. Emert’s Classroom. This was incredibly exciting and her classroom was set up in such a friendly and open way. I placed each kit on each desk for the students to see on their first day of school.

In October, I will be returning to read books and do crafts with her 8 students of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. She teaches both verbal and nonverbal students on the autism spectrum in the Allentown School District. Additional good news is that all three of her Donor’s Choose campaigns were funded! This was a true success for LKHZ’s first classroom donation.

Astrobright Paper Donation from Neenah Paper

Colored paper is a great way for students to interact with handouts in the classroom. It makes things more fun, more engaging, and improves interaction. Ms. Emert’s classroom was in need of the colored paper to print her worksheets and handouts on. This can become quite expensive, but Little Known Help Zone was incredibly fortunate to receive a donation of a large pack of Astrobright paper from Neenah paper. This was a very generous donation and will be delivered with Ms. Emert’s craft kits and soap for the new school year.

Check out their website here! http://www.neenahpaper.com/

Method Cleaning Donation

One of our donors for Ms. Emert’s classroom was Method Home. Method was kind enough to donate 5 coupons for hand soap for her classroom. She normally has to buy her own hand soap for her class sink, but these great soaps will make all the difference. Thank you again to Method!

Craft Kits for Ms. Emert

Our donation for our August classroom, Ms. Emert’s fourth grade low income classroom of students with autism, is underway and we have some really exciting goodies for her 8 students. Ms. Emert always makes her students craft kits so Little Known Help Zone took over this for the school year. Check out the photo of the kits, but included inside are pencils, crayons, a Little Known Help Zone crayon, scissors, gluesticks, and markers with a pencil case. We also will be donating a large pack of playdoh for sensory play.

If you would like to donate more, please let us know. Stay tuned for posts about our sponsors for this project!

August Classroom: Ms. Emert

Each month, Little Known Help Zone will be partnering with a local classroom in need to donate supplies for students and teachers so they can fulfill their potential and have the best learning experience possible.

Our classroom for August is Ms. Emert of Washington Elementary in Allentown, PA. Ms. Emert is the kindhearted teacher of 8 students from low income backgrounds on the autism spectrum. She is committed to their learning and provides them with everything they need including school supplies craft kits, sensory items, books, and fun paper and classroom supplies to make handouts more interactive.

Little Known Help Zone will be purchasing the school supplies kits for each of the 8 students, as well as some other supplies for her classroom.

One way you can help even more is to donate to one of her Donor’s Choose Platforms so she can order additional supplies that is much needed for a wonderful and successful school year!
