On August 31st, Little Known Help Zone recruited for new members for the Little Known Help Zone Bryn Mawr Club. We had over 20 new members sign up, and also held a banana demonstration and a raffle.
The raffle was for a Little Known Help Zone tee for all those signed up, and the winner was drawn at our first winner.
The banana demonstration was a great way to demonstrate what our organization is all about, rights! This was specifically for worker’s rights on banana plantations. We bought fair trade organic bananas from Mom’s Organic Marker and showed the wages a worker makes per bunch of bananas compared to what big corporations make per bunch sold.
The event was a success and will be repeated next year!
